Upcoming Appearance: 2012 Fashion's Night Out

Thursday, September 6th 2012 marks the fourth year of the shop-stravaganza known as Fashion's Night Out. Launched by renowned Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour this worldwide shopping celebration was designed to stimulate the fashion industry during the 2008 recession, and has since then become a major highlight of New York's Fashion Week.

Fans are invited to join for night of mingling with "editors, stars, models, fashionistas, and designers on September 6, 2012, as they flood stores in cities across the country and around the world for fashion's most iconic extravaganza" (FashionsNightOut.com).

Pretty Little Liar's Lucy Hale and One Tree Hill's Bethany Joy Lenz

One of the many star studded celebrations will take place at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, CA. and will be hosted by 23 year old Pretty Little Liars actress, Lucy Hale. If you need more reason to join the excitement, the always fashionable, Bethany Joy Lenz has confirmed via Twitter, that she will also be making an appearance. Should be a fun night!

Photo Shoot Update: Joy Opens Up Her Closet for a Good Cause

Courtesy of Bethany Joy Lenz's good friend and talented photographer, Lori Jane - we were able to get an exclusive sneak peek of some of the beautiful shots from their recent photo shoot together! According to Lori, additional photos will be released during special charity auctions benefiting LOVE 146 and promoting DIAMOND GOTHIC.

The theme of the photo shoot is introduced as wanderlust (a Germanic word meaning the strong desire to travel) and appropriately features our captivating Bohemian gypsy posed near an open window longingly looking out of it. Joy is dressed in a red flowy spaghetti strap dress which she accessorizes with a large pendant necklace and a braided headband over her luscious blonde curls.

Joy's latest poem, Reappearing Act speaks of the almost miraculous resurrection of youthful innocence and the reunion of two estranged spirits. Exploring Joy's thoughts through art is incredibly fascinating - and I love how she takes us through a beautiful story from beginning to end in less than 200 words. Her style is eccentric, honest and just all around beautiful - I'm still waiting for the official announcement of her poetry book...

Instagram Goodies

Given that One Tree Hill filmed its new seasons in the summer, it's appropriate that Joy seems to be enjoying the time off with her daughter and just buzzing around Los Angeles. If her pictures are any indication - Joy seems at peace.

(By the way, I know I'm not alone in saying I hope Joy instagrams a photo of herself actually in the photo).

Momentum of Love

On September 20th, Love146 will have a 10th Anniversary event in New York City celebrating the Momentum of Love. I'm not positive if Joy will attend but given her close work with the non-profit organization over the last years, there's potential that she will and I'm hoping that she does! Regardless here's an official description of the tremendous event:

On September 20th, advocates and friends will gather in New York City to celebrate the momentum of the past decade and support bold steps to grow this work of Love in years to come. Child, Sex, Trafficking: These three words should never be used in the same sentence, much less be a reality for many of the world’s most vulnerable. Although the Emancipation Proclamation was signed 150 years ago, thousands of children, not only overseas but here in the United States, are still enslaved in the sex industry. Building upon our success in Asia, funds generated at this event will support Love146 in growing prevention education and launch aftercare for survivors here in the United States.

This Gala Evening & VIP Cocktail Reception to end child trafficking will feature a musical performance by Grammy Winner Vince Gill and special guests includes Alec Baldwin and Dianne Wiest.

News Update: Bethany Joy Lenz & James Lafferty Reunite for Charity

Beginning Monday, August 20th, 2012 Shoe Revolt will be holding another celebrity shoe auction with proceeds benefiting victims of Human Trafficking. Earlier this year One Tree Hill alumni Kate Voegele and Elisabeth Harnois took their shoes off for our auction. We now have the pleasure of auctioning shoes donated by Bethany Joy Lenz and James Lafferty. Considering their long time on-screen relationship as One Tree Hill's Nathan Scott and Haley James we couldn't help but auction their shoes together.

Bethany Joy Lenz is a singer/songwriter, actress & writer that has teamed up with Seychelles shoes to donate an autographed pair of wedges by BC Footwear to Shoe Revolt. She was recently photographed at the Matt Leinart Charity Bowling Event in which she wore the identical wedges. Bethany is a huge advocate for Human Trafficking and has been working with organizations like Love146 for years. Her dedication to the fight against Human Trafficking is inspiring and Shoe Revolt is so pleased that she has extended her generosity to our cause.

James Lafferty's fans know firsthand that he has a huge heart for giving. For 4 years James hosted the annual One Tree Hill Charity Basket Ball Event to raise money for various charities in and around Wilmington, North Carolina where his show was being filmed. James has selected and autographed a pair of Classic TOMS to help Shoe Revolt take a stand against Human Trafficking.

Donations like Bethany and James' allows Shoe Revolt to continue supporting programs for survivors to ensure that they remain safe.

And boy, was I pleasantly surprised at how incredibly addicting they both are! Kimbra in particular, who you may recognize from Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know,” is bloody brilliant!  Vows is a flawless album - and I can't help but listen to this one a million times over.
