Fashion Spotlight: Bethany Joy Lenz is Scandalously Classy at Matt Leinart's "Celebrity Bowl"

Bethany Joy Lenz poses for the camera at Matt Leinart's
6th Annual "Celebrity Bowl"
The always stunning Bethany Joy Lenz stepped out on Thursday, June 12 to support Oakland Raiders Quarterback, Matt Leinart at his 6th Annual 'Celebrity Bowl' event in Hollywood California. Causing quite the stir with her latest bold look - our typically demure actress wore a Wetherly blush pink knitted crop top with sheer vertical stripes and paired it with high-waist April, May missoni print trousers.

What makes this look so scandalously delicious especially for a red carpet is the modest glimpse of Joy’s navel in certain angles. The key to wearing a crop top is to avoid showing the bellybutton – which can easily make a perfectly classy ensemble appear perfectly trashy. However, all is forgiven because—helllooo flat tummy! The cropped top really is a trend only reserved for the bravest – and Joy makes it work showcasing her itsy-bitsy waist.

And if that wasn’t risqué enough- her crop top is sheer enough to alluringly show off her black bandeau bra. This selection looks super airy, all while keeping super glamorous. It’s a seriously hot style and Joy nails it!

Footwear is also great place to take risks and our leggy blonde does just that by complimenting her ensemble with wedges from BC Footwear over an adorable pedicure! The versatile wedges definitely spice up the look - making Joy’s legs appear super fit and lean.

And last but not least, her left side part and effortless curls add the right touch of youthfulness to balance the bolder elements of her look. Love the playfulness of the vintage hair button to pin up her luscious curls!

Overall, Joy looks breathtaking. Her skin looks flawless, her blonde locks bring out the amber in her eyes - and I could go on and on for days…

The Verdict: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Oh and let's not forget Joy's 6' 5'' 230 lbs accessory in some photos - one word - YUM!

News Potpourri - Summer Photo Shoot, Strawberry Patches, 4th of July, Wardrobe Wednesday & My 2 Cents on Body Image

Photography by Kate Romero

Can't get enough of Joy's contagious smile? Well here's a flirty outtake from her latest photo shoot with celebrity photographer, Kate Romero.  Wearing a simple teal-colored cotton tank, with wavy blonde locks framing her makeup-free face - Bethany looks more comfortable in this photo than we've ever seen her! That smile just says it all.

This natural look for our girl is a definite thumbs up!

Bethany Joy Lenz's blooming
strawberry patch

Major kudos to our health-conscious, Bethany Joy Lenz for growing fresh strawberries in the convenience of her backyard! As wonderful as store-bought produce may be, there really is nothing quite like the enjoyment of eating homegrown fruits and veggies. It's way more delicious and not to mention - infinitely better for our environment!

Follow Joy's lead  folks- and try it out if you can!

From recommending healthy skin-care tips to promoting carpe diem - this is a post you're not gonna want miss! So read up on some Joy pointers and check out how Joy has learned to live in the moment and appreciate the beauty and magic of 'now'.  Our girl is so wise.
The entire purpose of a hot air balloon is to take you on a ride-- to give you a view. It's not transporting you from point A to B, it's not getting in and out of hard-to-access spots, it's not dropping you out of the sky for a thrill... it's just taking you for a leisurely afternoon ride and giving you the opportunity to see the world in a way you'd never see it before. There's an element of uncertainty and danger about it-- after all, you're not in a compressed cabin, sealed off. Your'e in a big open basket with a fire-bloated cloak attached and some guy pushing buttons who you hope to God knows what he's doing! It's not exactly the most SAFE feeling in the world, but what an adventure!

Do yourself a favor and read Joy's 4th of July post HERE.

And last but not least - Joy said it best, last week's Wardrobe Wednesday was a cool combination of summer, girly, tomboy, and chic. Borrowing an item from Haley's closet, Joy rocks a chic Madison Marcus blouse taken from the One Tree Hill series finale, summery pale-pink jeans from Free People, tomboy Oxfords from Seychelles Footwear, and an ultra girly necklace from Jewelmint. Love this ensemble!

And while we're still on the topic - I know this particular Wardrobe Wednesday prompted a lot of fans to comment on Joy's ultra-petite frame. And while I agree that our girl is looking even slimmer than her pre-pregnancy days - Joy was treading for Love146 for about eight weeks and has been eating very healthy. So I can't say there's any reason to be alarmed.

Nevertheless, I hope Joy directly addresses the body-image topic at BethanyJoy.com - as it's a very relevant and important dialogue that I would love to see between Joy and et al.

Poetry Update: Bethany Joy Lenz Sheds Light On Her Innermost Thoughts

Although Joy tweeted "Dear Gotye, I Feel Better," the imagery in one of her latest poems proves that it been anything but easy. The overall tone is difficult to swallow and I sincerely hope her words are not meant to be taken literally. However,  If I Am A Ship... seems to be a revival of Joy's inner hopeless romantic. I adore both poems - yet of course for very, very different reasons. Anyone else hoping these poems can transfer over into song? (Yeah, I know I'm not alone...)

June 25th, 2012
Blackout.
Images flash.
Brightly colored moments of chaos.
Blood.
Everywhere.

Swollen eyes, exhausted arms, rubber legs.
I wipe the mud and red from my mouth.
Spit out the dirt. Try to see – to make sense.

There are hundreds of them.
Thousands.
Giants.

They are ancient. And angry.
And I am very, very small.

I have a lot of good ideas,
I know a lot of weak spots
But it’s not enough.

…last call
Wait for
Hope fore
And expect the Lord.
